New industries drive demand for rare earths. Wonaixi Rare Earth focuses on high-end application fields.

Since 2026, strategic emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, wind power generation, information technology, and high-end equipment manufacturing have continued to grow, resulting in a structural increase in the demand for rare earth functional materials. According to institutional data, the price of dysprosium oxide has shown a significant bottom-up recovery trend due to the demand from multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC); the average price of praseodymium and neodymium oxide in the first half of the year reached 731,000 yuan/ton, with a year-on-year growth of 73.6%. CITIC Securities predicts that the price center of praseodymium oxide is expected to rise to the range of 600,000 to 800,000 yuan/ton in 2026.

The highlights on the demand side are not limited to traditional magnetic materials. The expansion of AI computing infrastructure continues to drive the demand for high-end magnetic materials. Dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide have entered an upward trend due to the tight supply chain in Japan and the growth in demand for high-capacity AI MLCCs; the rigid demand for high-performance rare earth permanent magnets by humanoid robot joints is expected to open up new growth space with large-scale production; the sales of air conditioners in Europe under hot weather conditions are booming, with about 0.1-0.2 kg of rare earth permanent magnets used per air conditioner, further driving the stockpiling of magnetic material factories.

At the same time, the application of rare earths in non-magnetic material fields such as polishing, catalysis, and electronic functional materials is also steadily expanding. High-purity cerium carbonate is widely used in the production of ternary catalysts, ammonium cerium nitrate is mainly used for etching in liquid crystal displays, and high-grade polishing powder serves the precise processing of mobile phone panels and LED display panels – although these niche markets are not as highly valued by the capital market as magnetic materials, they are the technical barriers and high-value-added links in the rare earth value chain.

Sichuan Wonaixi Rare Earth New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is a pioneer in this field. The company mainly produces more than 20 varieties of rare earth new materials products such as lanthanum chloride, lanthanum nitrate, ammonium cerium nitrate, high-purity cerium carbonate, cerium hydroxide, and anhydrous lanthanum chloride, which are widely used in electronics, aerospace industries, petrochemicals, medicine, advanced optical instruments, special glass ceramics and new materials.

The company itself has more than 40 patents, among which invention patents and utility model patents cover key process links such as cerium nitrate filtration, lanthanum chloride crystallization screening, and production of fluorine praseodymium and neodymium. The company has also established a high-standard analysis laboratory to strictly test the purity, impurity content and other indicators of each batch of products.

Looking to the future, Wonaixi Rare Earth stated that it will continue to optimize product structure and improve product quality in response to the changing demands of downstream high-end applications, allowing “Chinese rare earth new materials” to play a value in broader application scenarios.
