Functional materials: Lanthanum oxide is the raw material for preparing lanthanum boride (LaB), which is an excellent thermoelectronic emission cathode material. Lanthanum oxide also has important applications in fields such as hydrogen storage materials and fuel cells. For example, lanthanum-nickel alloys can be used for hydrogen storage.
