Chemical industrial catalyst: Sulfuric acid high cerium, as a powerful oxidant, is used in organic synthesis to catalyze various reactions, including the selective oxidation of alcohols to ketones, the direct sulfonation of methane and trioxide sulfur to form methanesulfonic acid, and the catalysis of the condensation of 2-naphthol with aldehydes under solvent-free and microwave conditions to synthesize 14-aryl or 14-alkyl-14H-dibenz[a,j]sulfuranthene. Its oxidizing property is particularly significant under acidic conditions.

 

Pond Phosphorus Remover: Due to its chemical properties, sulfuric acid high cerium can effectively remove phosphate from water bodies through precipitation, which is helpful in addressing the problem of water body eutrophication.

Chemical synthesis intermediate: Sulfuric acid cerium(IV) is an important analytical reagent, widely used in oxidation-reduction titrations (such as calibrating sodium thiosulfate solutions) to determine substances that can be oxidized, such as nitrite, iodide, and low-valent iron salts. It is also a key intermediate for synthesizing other cerium compounds (such as cerium dioxide).
